Where We Set Our Sights

About Us

Kabaddi is a sport that is taking the world by storm.

The recent development of the ProKabaddi League in India is testament to the charisma of a sport of this intensity and excitement on the global stage. At Imperial College, we aim to nurture Kabaddi in the UK - and propel our players to the international level.

The Imperial College Kabaddi Club was founded in 2013 by Keshav Gupta. In our first season, we entered the National Universities Kabaddi League (NUKL) alongside LSE, Aston and Manchester Kabaddi Clubs. We were also crowned NHSF London Zone Kabaddi Champions in November 2013. Following this, we finished 2nd in the NHSF National Sports Competition 2014.

In the 2014/5 season we finished 1st in the NUKL and won the NHSF London Zone competition and the NHSF National tournament. Our 1st team was unbeaten - a fantastic achievement.

We were the first univeristy in the UK to establish a women's team, paving the way for our friends in other universities. Our women were crowned champions of the Inaugral Women's Kabaddi Cup and now continue to explore and develop their skill.
