BUDDY WORKOUT OF THE WEEK
SATURDAY'S WORKOUT
I think that everyone who turned up to the session can vouch that it was an intense gym session leaving most of us on the floor by the end of it. It was also our first session in the Strength and Conditioning Room! Here's the workout summary. Perform each exercise for 60 seconds before rotating to the next station:
1) Power Cleans (30kg barbell; propel the bar from the floor upwards and onto your shoulders) - 60s
2) Bent over Rows (30kg barbell) - 60s
3) Bag Push (Push a weighted bag 5m across the floor) - 60s
4) Goblet Squat (12kg) - 60s
5) Lateral jumps (landing on one leg and jump as far sideways as possible) - 60s
6) Footwork (use an exercise block to step on and off quickly) - 60s
7) Medicine Ball Twist-Toss (from a low squat, drive up and throw the medicine ball in the air while twisting your body) - 60s
8) Rest - 60s
Repeat this circuit 3 times. Estimated time: 25 minutes
